Welcome to Yellowjacket Country! At Fredonia High School we believe our purpose is to guide our students to become responsible, productive citizens with programs and policies designed to accomplish that mission. We believe our students do best when they are allowed to be themselves and try to structure our programs toward that end. We also believe in maximum effort balanced by a friendly and inclusive culture. The 2014-15 school year will be challenging and rewarding and we are ready to go to work!
The town of Fredonia is a community with a population of around 2,600. It is located at the rim of the scenic Flint Hills, an area rich with recreational opportunities. The river valleys, range land and wooded hills offer exceptional hunting, outdoor living and trail riding. The nearby three reservoirs and two state lakes offer boating, fishing, water skiing and trail hiking.
Fredonia has grown from its 1868 start as the seat of Wilson County into an interesting, diversified community built on a solid foundation.
Quiet, friendly and welcoming -- Fredonia is a charming place with a true calming, comfortable "hometown" feel.
